Objective of the contest:
To encourage environment friendly behavior & management in/of societies and driving and enrolling larger groups into the idea of going green.
Who can participate:
This contest is open only for Housing Societies/ Educational Institutes
Eligibility criteria:
If your society / Educational institute is practicing one or more of the following Initiatives you would be eligible to participate.
- Waste Reduction
- Segregation of waste
- Processing at source
- Recyclable Waste Practices
- Zero waste disposal
- Bio gas plant
- Thermacol and plastic free Society/ Educational Institute
- Compost Creation
- Recyclable Waste Practices
Regions:
Mumbai (Thane, Navi Mumbai, Kalyan -Dombivali,Bhivandi- Nizampur, Vasai- Virar,Palghar, Mira- Bhayander,Ulhasnagar,Panvel) Pune( PMC, PCMC) , Amravati , Aurangabad, Nagpur, Nashik , Kolhapur, Solapur

Procedure For The Contest
- Participating societies/ Educational Institutes send the entries with photos/ supporting documents on how they are environment friendly & initiatives taken by them.
- A panel of 2 judges would be appointed for Judging the preliminary round
- All the entries would be scrutinized by the judges and participants would be shortlisted on the basis of the forms and the photographs & write ups about the initiates from each region i.e. Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Kolhapur, Solapur.
- A panel of 3 judges would be appointed locally in each region for the final judging of shortlisted Societies.
- The judges would then visit the shortlisted societies in each region on a pre decided date and judge the environment friendly process implemented in each society .The judging process would be done over a period of 2- 3 days to cover all the shortlisted societies in that region .
- The judges would then select the winners based on these criteria.
- Winners would be then called to Mumbai for a prize distribution ceremony
