E-Waste Collection & Disposal

The MoEF’s E-Waste (Management) Amendment Rules, 2018 mandate that all bulk users of electrical and electronic equipment dispose of their e-waste only through an authorised collection centre working with a registered producer responsibility organisation (PRO).

SWaCH and its MPCB authorised E-Waste recycler and dismantler PRO partner enables organisations to meet regulatory requirements for the safe disposal of IT e-waste, ensuring that it is recycled responsibly, using the best available technology in India and that it is handled, dismantled and recycled in an environmentally sound and socially responsible manner.

These efforts are backed by the International Finance Corporation and by industry giants like Dell, HP and Lenovo to help control India’s escalating e-waste problem. SWaCH has been working with an average of 500 metric tonnes of e-waste annually since 2014. We have one collection centre and an on-call pickup service.
