SWaCH V Collect: Give Your Pre-loved Belongings a Second Life!

Ready to declutter and make a real difference?

The SWaCH V Collect initiative makes it easy for you to practice Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle by diverting usable items from landfills and connecting them with people who need them.

What is V Collect?

V Collect is a special service offered by SWaCH Pune, India’s largest waste picker cooperative, in partnership with the Pune Municipal Corporation. We offer citizens a preferred and responsible way to dispose of items that can’t go into your regular garbage but still have immense potential for reuse.

What We Collect for Reuse?

We take a wide range of reusable items, ensuring they find new owners or are responsibly managed:

  • Clothing & Accessories: Old clothes, shoes, bags, and purses.
  • Household Items: Utensils (Bhaandi), artifacts, toys and much more.
  • Leisure & Education: All kinds of books, bicycles, and prams.
  • E-waste: Mobiles, laptops, computers, coolers and refrigerators.* (This is sent only to an MPCB authorized recycler, as SWaCH is an authorized E-waste collection agency recognized by PMC and PCMC).

*large sized electronic items need special care and handling. It is preferred that you drop them off at our centre or we can arrange a special pickup.

Where is our drop off centre?

How Your Contribution Makes an Impact?

Your contribution fuels an eco-friendly and inclusive cycle:

  • Social Impact: Collected clothes, shoes, and reusable items are carefully sorted and made available to waste pickers and other needy individuals at an inexpensive price. Books find new homes with enthusiasts.
  • Financial Sustainability: Any funds recovered beyond our administrative expenses are channeled directly toward the education of waste pickers’ children.
  • Environmental Benefit: By giving your items to V Collect, you ensure they are kept out of landfills, fostering a city-wide culture of reuse and recycling.
