So you want to do something but don’t know where to start?

You may want to help but may not have information on how to. You may have information, but not have time to dedicate regularly. You may have the time, but may not know how your skills can be used. There are many reasons we ‘do not’ .. Here are many for us to ‘do’

SWaCH is managed, owned and run by waste pickers who work hard at recycling, waste management and affect climate change. Here are simple ways to connect with the cause and do more. We promise you will be enriched by the interaction.

To connect with what we do..

Declutter your homes, societies, colonies, offices and hostels and give in material lying un-used everywhere and help organize regular V collect / E waste collect drives.

Where there is a will, but no time..

You don’t need to come and work at a specific time in a specific area if you cannot find time. Just spread the word at the next party you are at. Talk about our campaigns – Why red dot empowers women waste pickers; or about our recycling – why V collects mean that clothing gets reused over and over again; or even talk about how 5 of our members are Swachh bharat ambassadors.. There are many stories to tell. Look up our facebook page and website for them.

IT your forte?

A little bit of working remote can help create “Infographics”. You could help streamline varied databases for us.

Get us more E waste or better yet, help us reuse it by tinkering with old computers/laptops and make them work Create applications that can enhance our work in various prabhags.

Is art and photography your thing?

Posters, banners, videos and pictures… we need them all! You could see your work splattered all over the city this way.

Wordsmith?

Write for us. We have stories to tell but no time to tell them well. Help us tell those stories.

Itch to teach?

Our waste pickers do not let age matter and are willing to learn anything from languages to sewing and art. You can even teach the children what they miss out on at school.

Periods, pads and sanitized conversations not for you?

Join our red dot campaigners who talk about the dignity of waste workers and how sanitary waste must be disposed off.

Sketching or power point presentations?

Give our sugandha bai’s image a makeover or add some power points to it. We would love to see it.
