www.carbonneutral.com – The Carbon Neutral Company is one of the world’s leading carbon offset and carbon management business, set up with that single focus in the early ‘90s. (Not reviewed)

www.recyclemymobile.co.uk – Very interesting site though not visually. A lot of this might be irrelevant with the way mobiles are bought and sold here in India but worth a visit, specially if you are moving to the UK and want to rent a mobile or give in yours and pick up a ‘new’ (2nd hand) model.

www.envirofone.com. – Very neat site, information as well as visual design. Images of mobiles are cycled on the right with a price you could get depending on the condition of the phone. They even send a padded envelope so that you don’t have to pay for postage. They mobile you send is checked and you get the amount in 7 days. Pretty neat!

www.recyclingappeal.com – Similar to the 2 sites above. They recycle mobiles but also do printer cartridges. (not reviewed)

www.communityrepaint.org.uk – According to this site last year 400 million litres of paint were sold in UK. Of this approximately 56 million litres are unused, stored or thrown away. This is enough to fill 22 Olympic sized swimming pools. Interestingly this project has been sponsored by Dulux since 1993. (not reviewed)

www.oilbankline.org.uk  - Oil recycling – very important and urgent an issue (Not reviewed)

www.recyclenow.com  - Very interesting site with a recycling game, got too wound up in the site to remember reviewing it. (not reviewed)

www.guvswd.org - Greater Upper Valley Solid Waste District - site with lots of information though its UK based so suggest local council based initiatives but a good site none the less, even with less than appealing visuals.

www.howtocompost.org - Detailed site for composting information and know hows.

www.reduce.org - A website of the Minnesota Office of Environmental Assistance. When you avoid making garbage in the first place, you don't have to worry about disposing of waste or recycling it later. Changing your habits is the key -- think about ways you can reduce your waste when you shop, work and play. There's a ton of ways for you to reduce waste, save yourself some time and money, and be good to the Earth at the same time.

http://www.vtearthinstitute.org - The Vermont Earth Institute, a local organization, educates and supports Vermonters to reduce consumption and adopt environmentally sustainable practices in their homes, workplaces and communities. VEI's discussion courses and educational programs bring people together, raise their ecological awareness and facilitate profound change in their values, habits and actions in caring for the environment.

www.sustainer.org - The Sustainability Institute, a local organization focuses on understanding the root causes of unsustainable behaviour in complex systems to help restructure systems and shifts mindsets that will help move human society toward sustainability. Their staff includes biologists, writers, social scientists, system dynamics modellers, and facilitators bringing a wide variety of experiences and skills to their work.

www.newdream.org - The New American Dream, a national organization, helps us to "Live Consciously, Buy Wisely, Make a Difference." By changing our consumption patterns on a household level, we can greatly reduce our waste stream with no real effect on our "standard of living." Very simple and easy to navigate site, US based but with ideas, advice and projects that can easily be done here in Pune.
